10 Superior Traits of the INFJ Personality Type That You'll Envy

INFJs are intense and complex people and they’re often misunderstood. They have a  deep desire to help others and make a positive difference in the world.

They are naturally introspective and longing, with rich inner lives that often go unrecognized. Though they may seem reserved at first,  INFJs have an abundance of passion and creativity waiting to be tapped into.

So let’s explore 10 INFJ traits that set them apart from other types.

1) They have a wonderful sense of observation

The INFJ personality type is very introspective and they often struggle to find a balance between the inner world of their thoughts and feelings, and the outer world of other people.

This can make them seem disconnected from others,  but it also gives them a unique ability to observe both themselves and others with great clarity. INFJs are often able to see things that other people miss,  and this allows them to develop deep insight into the workings of the world around them.

This strength can be used to great effect,  but it can also be a burden if the INFJ is constantly second-guessing themselves or obsessing over small details. However,  on the whole, the ability to observe is one of an INFJs greatest strengths.

2) They are natural empaths

INFJs are quick to comfort others in times of need,  and they’re often very naturally tuned to the emotions of those around them. INFJs have the capacity to feel a deep sense of connection with others.

This is probably why so many ends up in caring professions as they’re easily able to build rapport and establish trust. Their warm nature and ability to relate to others on a deep level can make INFJs particularly apt at providing support and offering a shoulder to cry on.

However, INFJs can also find themselves feeling overwhelmed by the emotions of those around them. Sometimes they may absorb the pain of others to such an extent that it starts to impact their own well-being.

So while their compassion is one of their greatest strengths,  INFJs can sometimes forget to separate their own thoughts and feelings from those of others.

3) They have a very creative mind

INFJs are often noted for their creativity and originality. One reason for this is they’re intensely introspective. They are constantly looking inward, exploring their own thoughts and feelings.

This self-reflection gives INFJs a deep understanding of themselves and the world around them, and as a result,  they are often able to come up with creative solutions to problems. Additionally, INFJs are driven by a strong sense of idealism and morality.

They usually have a  clear vision of how they want the world to be and are often passionate about making their vision a  reality. This idealism provides INFJ with the motivation needed to pursue creative endeavors.

All INFJs tend to have a deep appreciation for beauty and art. They’re able to see the world as a canvas, full of endless possibilities for construction. This appreciation inspires INFJs to create art in their own lives,  whether it’s writing a novel, painting a picture, or composing a song.

INFJs are particularly complex and fascinating people, with many gifts that contribute to their creativity.
