ENTJs love to lead, and that’s a good thing because people gladly have them as their leaders. This is part of what makes them so successful. They accomplish far more than they would be able to alone because of their inspiring and captivating personalities and natural leadership skills.
These characteristics enable them to easily influence people, but not in an overpowering way. Instead, they use their energy and charisma to motivate and encourage others to give their best in everything they do.
7 – Blunt
ENTJs have no problem being blunt when necessary. This can be a good thing, because it’s their ability to cut through the fluff and get down to business that makes them such great leaders. Just like their ability to remain unbiased though, this can have negative consequences for their relationships.
They expect everything to be flawless, and anything less is unacceptable. When even the most minor thing isn’t up to the ENTJ’s standards, they have no problem voicing their dissatisfaction. In addition, at times, their delivery can be unnecessarily harsh and can come off as nitpicking.
8 – Strategic and Intelligent
As decision-makers, ENTJs are never impulsive. They are strategic, sharp thinkers and creative problem solvers with great ideas. While others may become overwhelmed by problems, ENTJs are energized by them. They are the type of leader that can anticipate potential challenges and make tough decisions to move a project forward with smart, long-term solutions.
Knowing that others have entrusted them as their leader, they won’t proceed unless they’re absolutely certain about what should be done. It is their strategic and analytical mind that makes them some of the most intelligent people out there.
9 – Organized
ENTJs want everything from their homes and personal lives to their professional endeavors to be efficient and organized. This gives them a sense of control and predictability. They are great at both generating and implementing ideas, as well as arranging teams in such a way that they can achieve their goals.
Their plans are strategic and detailed, involving everyone in a way that leads toward success. However, the opposite is also true. Any perceived refusal or deviation from their meticulous plans can cause them stress. Just as they gain energy by helping others stay organized, they lose energy when disorganization occurs, and this can be frustrating for everyone involved.
10 – Driven
ENTJ personality types are not only great leaders, but they’re also dedicated workers who crave success in their careers. They are ambitious and have a strong desire to achieve power and influence.
ENTJs thrive in positions of power where they’re able to make decisions and implement action plans. They are driven by results and are constantly striving to accomplish more. This is another reason they’re so successful. Since they love to work, their lives are focused on career achievements and personal development.
As you can imagine, this can be both good and bad. Although successful, it sometimes comes at the cost of their relationships or physical health. It’s easy to see why ENTJs are the most successful personality type. However, they do have weaknesses, just like everyone else.
Some of their most admirable traits can also be their downfall if left unchecked, so it’s important that they self-regulate or have someone in their lives to help them maintain balance.

Although these tools can be valuable in that they provide a way for us to understand ourselves and others, it’s important not to let yourself get stuck in a box made of four letters. Each of these traits actually occurs on a spectrum rather than as absolutes.
